Dear people who care about me, the consumers of Namibia, My humble apologies. Over the past 20 years it has been my honour of being the custodian of your personal digital information. I have on a laptop in the possession of the Namibian Police a software program I wrote in 2004 called the "Namibian Consumer Database". In that database of over 3 million records I have stored the following personal digital information if the people in it. Women in civil society in Africa continue to face major hurdles

Women in civil society in Africa are particularly prone to intimidation and harassment says a new report released today by CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation. CIVICUS calls on African governments, regional bodies, the international community and civil society to do much more to protect women human rights defenders on the continent. Released to coincide with International Women’s Day, the report outlines the major challenges faced by women in civil society in Africa. These include deeply entrenched patriarchal norms and an increased risk of sexual harassment and violence due to the nature of their work.
